Glyph Language Services is currently seeking an experienced, well-organized, detail-oriented, natural prioritizer to fill the position of Glyph Localization Project Manager. The Glyph Localization Project Manager is responsible for all phases of the localization project delivery lifecycle -- scope, schedule, budget, personnel, risk, communication, and quality -- and works with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, high quality delivery. If you’re an inquisitive and analytical linguaphile to whom working with linguists all over the world has outsized appeal, this position could be the perfect fit for you. The job duties of this position can be performed remotely.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Reading closely to understand the project scope and requirements (source content, assessments, quotes, handoffs, client goals, the deliverable, etc)
  • Creating project plans and schedules based on client-specific requirements; applying appropriate contingencies in planning and resourcing
  • Owning and managing client communication throughout the project, always seeking ways to add value
  • Sourcing and selecting appropriate, qualified vendors within budget
  • Organizing, assigning, and monitoring work of his/her project team members; ensuring team's compliance with Glyph standards, practices and policies
  • Expertly using Glyph’s proprietary project management software (XTRF) to create POs, capture vendor performance, and record project data
  • Regularly monitoring client satisfaction and taking improvement actions when necessary

Essential Qualifications

  • 3+ years in business process program or product management
  • Excellent English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Superior problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize activities on a daily, hourly, minute by minute basis
  • Excellent customer service skills and instincts
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in localization
  • Hands-on game, software and website localization experience
  • Familiarity with content localization and translation memory applications
  • Hands-on experience with desktop publishing platforms & tools
  • Hands-on experience as a localizer/translator is a plus
