Glyph Language Services is currently seeking an inquisitive, language-minded, tech-savvy and analytical part-time Project Coordinator to assist with an on-going project for a client who is an industry leader in software development and a Fortune 50 company. The project objective is to provide basic software support and expert assistance in maintaining the client's terminology database of over 100 languages. As a project coordinator you will support the Project Manager leading the project.

The position will commence with a paid training period of 10 hours/week for three weeks, then, going forward the will be more like 20-30 hours per month and may fluctuate from month to month depending on workload and project requirements. At the conclusion of the training period and at the discretion of the project manager, the project coordinator may have the option to work remotely.

General responsibilities include

  • Attending weekly and ad hoc meetings with the client
  • Reviewing data on a monthly basis to identify trends and software bugs
  • Maintaining documentation of current processes
  • Testing bugs and new features in client software
  • Assist project manager in maintaining health of client’s data
  • Liaising with linguists to improve health of data

  • Basic knowledge of international politics
  • College level coursework in a second language

Desired Qualifications

  • Intermediate coursework in a second language
  • Basic knowledge of software design
