Glyph Language Services is a translation and localization services partner currently seeking an enthusiastic,  self-directed, well-organized IT Systems Administrator to join our team in Spokane, Washington.

The Glyph IT Systems Administrator is responsible for design, analysis, implementation, and maintenance of the overall computing environment with the goal of maximizing production performance and uptime by identifying network requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring network performance. This includes desktop support, analyzing workflow, access, & data security requirements, network monitoring, analysis, performance tuning, and troubleshooting..

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Deploy and support productivity hardware, software, peripherals, services in accordance with company policies, industry standards and operational requirements
  • Provide help desk support for IT and IS requests
  • Create and maintain detailed system and end-user documentation
  • Perform regular system maintenance including updates, upgrades, and backups. Perform audits of system lifecycles, functionality, key processes, and security
  • Maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and technologies including but not limited to DHCP, DNS, VPN
  • Maintain and enforce group and role-based user access
  • Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments, contingency plans, and best practices procedures.
  • Availability during normal operating hours as well as off hours as required

Essential Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in an Information Technology related field
  • Strong technical skill in the areas of Network Administration, Information Systems, Physical Security, OS configuration, configuration management, and system troubleshooting
  • Experience in translating business communication and requirements into technical requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and written skills
  • 2+ years’ experience in the IT/IS field
  • Demonstrated success with problem solving, innovative thinking, project/time management, collaboration, reliability, professionalism, and producing quality work under demanding circumstances
