Localization Project Manager

Glyph Language Services is a translation and localization services partner and is currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and self motivated Localization Project Manager.

The Glyph Localization Project Manager is responsible for all phases of the localization project delivery lifecycle -- scope, schedule, budget, personnel, risk, communication, and quality -- and works with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, high quality delivery. This is potentially a remote position. That is, the job duties may be performed anywhere in the U.S.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Provide our clients with the highest level of service in the industry, and function as the main point of contact for clients in relation to their projects
  • Creating project plans and schedules based on client-specific requirements; applying appropriate contingencies in planning and resourcing
  • Sourcing and selecting appropriate, qualified vendors within budget
  • Organizing, assigning, and monitoring work of his/her project team members; ensures team's compliance with Glyph standards, practices and policies
  • Expertly using XTRF project management software to create POs, capture vendor performance, and record project data
  • Regularly monitoring client satisfaction and taking improvement actions when necessary

Essential Qualifications

  • 2+ years in business process, program or product management
  • Excellent English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Superior problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize activities on a daily, hourly, minute by minute basis
  • Excellent customer service skills and instincts
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in programming, software design or general fluency in a variety of programs
  • 2-4 years of experience in localization
  • Hands-on game, software and website localization experience
  • Familiarity with content localization and translation memory applications such as memoQ, Trados, smartCAT, etc.
  • Native fluency in any second language is a plus, but preference will be given to speakers of
           -- German or Korean, or
           -- Canadian French or French, or
           -- Italian
  • Hands-on experience with desktop publishing platforms & tools
  • Hands-on experience as a localizer/translator is a plus
